Reference: Brunialti, American Costume Jewelry - Art and Industry (2008) Vol 2 p 106, the names given in a descriptive article in Women's Wear Daily, 6 Feb 1942, p 16 - '"Ivan and Tania" are two enamelled peasant figures said to be favored in reorders'. Patents are reproduced below (scroll down); designer David Mir, filed Dec 1941, granted Jan 1942.
