Reference: Mark (characteristic stone setter's number, and the Pat Pend stamp), design, construction, and non-use of Sterling date this to before Dec 1937. There are no Trifari patents pre-1937, so the 'Pat Pend' dates this to that year - and there is no patent, despite the mark.
